Education Queensland policies and procedures
Education Queensland school management policies and procedures are outlined on the Queensland Government
Policy and Procedure Register.
Behaviour management
Our Student Code of Conduct outlines the strategies in place to achieve the highest levels of safety and support for our students, staff and community.
Parents are encouraged to discuss any concerns they may have regarding their child with their classroom teacher.
Attendance
It is important that students, staff and parents/carers have a shared understanding of the importance of attending school. At Kenmore State School we:
are committed to promoting the key messages of Every Day Counts
ensure all of our learners are enrolled at school and attend school all day, every school day
are monitoring, communicating and implementing strategies to improve regular school attendance
believe attendance at school is the responsibility of everyone in our community.
Please refer to our Attendance policy (PDF, 324KB) for more information.
Dress code
Our school prides itself on its appearance and presentation to the community. Having a consistent approach to our appearance aids our students in displaying this pride for our school. Our school community supports a Student Dress Code as it promotes a safe and supportive teaching and learning environment by:
allowing ready identification of our students at school and in public
fostering a sense of belonging
developing mutual respect amongst students by minimising visible evidence of economic or social differences.
Our students are expected to attend and represent our school in correct uniform. We encourage our students to wear the uniform with pride as they are representing themselves, their school, their family and their community. We expect all adults to support and encourage our students to wear the full uniform.
