Performance and achievements

Kenmore State School has an impressive record of academic, sporting and personal achievement with students striving for success in various fields.

More information relating to our performance as a school can be found in our Annual Report (PDF, 565 KB) and in the results of our Teaching and Learning Audit below:

To learn more about the Teaching and Learning Audit process, please refer to the Teaching and Learning Fact Sheet (PDF, 358 KB).

Regular achievements by students, staff and our community are celebrated each week in the school newsletter, Around and About and at our assembly held every Thursday at 2.30pm.

Our Great Results Guarantee

The Great Results Guarantee is funding provided by the Queensland Government to support student learning. In 2014, all state schools will receive their current level of funding plus a share of the $131 million as part of the Great Results Guarantee initiative, so every school will be better off. The government already fund students based on the level of education need, and the money under this initiative will flow in the same way. It will have a strategic outcomes-based approach. The Queensland Government believes community engagement is an essential part of that. The Guarantee developed at Kenmore S.S. has been developed in close consultation with our staff and school community.

This annual funding boost for Queensland state schools comes with a guarantee that every Queensland state school student will either:

  • achieve the National Minimum Standard for literacy and numeracy for their year level; or
  • have an evidence-based plan, developed by the school, in place to address their specific learning needs.

Please visit our Greater Results Guarantee Snapshot for specific details. We look forward to reporting on our progress throughout the year.

Discipline Audit

As part of an initiative to strengthen discipline in Queensland State schools, Discipline Audits have been conducted in every Queensland State school. The purpose of the Discipline Audits is to provide quality feedback on how the school is ensuring a safe, supportive and disciplined learning environment and to inform school behaviour management planning processes. Please find information about our discipline audit in the links below.
